Motion Design Intern
We are currently seeking a Motion Design Intern to join our team. At The Working Assembly, you'll get to participate in the end-to-end creative process with our team, aligning with strategy, brand and creative to develop motion design concepts.
You will develop storyboards, animations and video content using 2D and 3D animation software. You will have the opportunity to hone your craft and to learn new animation techniques while working with other motion designers. As an intern, you’ll learn how to elevate brand identity systems and amplify a brand’s personality through narrative driven motion design - reinforcing the brand, enhancing it, and adding delight to the experience. You'll be working both independently and collaboratively on real client projects in a fast-paced, creative and fun environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with other motion designers on projects from initial conception through final production
- Showing great attention to detail
- Creating beautifully crafted animation and video content
- Collaborating with teams for feedback
Qualifications
- A reel that demonstrates motion design capabilities
- Creative and passionate about all things design, animation and video
- Comfortable in Adobe CC including After Effects, and 3D software is a plus
- Interest in learning about 3D animation and rendering (Cinema 4D and Redshift)
- Basic understanding of the principles of animation and motion
Requirements
- Minimum 4 full days of work per week are required for Winter/Spring interns, and 5 days for Summer interns (note that we have an NYC-based office).
