Untold

Creating a brand identity as thoughtful and reflective as the voice journal itself.

TWA worked with Untold to develop the world surrounding the voice-powered journal app, a platform for speaking your feelings freely, gaining personalized wisdom from philosophy, literature, history, and more, and growing from it in return. Our strategy was built on this core idea of honesty and its ability to inspire deeply nourishing content for self-creation, with a verbal identity extending from that concept. The visual identity then brought this concept to life through mood-setting, calming imagery, a loose imperfect painting style, and objects including an open book, a conch shell, a quill pen, and more, to symbolize the reflective and worldly nature of the platform. We collaborated with Untold to build a website that would speak to the tactical parts of the app, like privacy, while balancing the emotionally resonant and poetic aspects of the brand and its offerings.
